Outline of Research at the Start

有機合成化学における重要な分子変換法であるラジカル反応には、従来、反応性の高いラジカル開始剤や前駆体に対する紫外光の照射、強熱、酸化還元によるラジカル発生法が用いられてきた。本研究の目的は、架橋オキソ配位子を有する金属クラスター錯体と可視光の協奏作用を活用し、入手容易なカルボン酸やアルコール、エーテル、アミンなどの基幹原料から、それら分子中の不活性結合の均等開裂によりラジカルを発生させ、様々な有機基質での官能基化、もしくは金属錯体でラジカルを捕捉してクロスカップリング反応に用いることで、新たなラジカル的分子変換反応を実現することにある。
