根粒菌BLY3-8株は、ダイズ品種D-51に根粒形成できない。これは、BLY3-8株が持つ細胞外タンパク質(T3SS effector)が、ダイズ品種D-51に病原性因子として認識されるからである(Shobudani et al. 2020. Microbes Environ. ME19151)。本研究では、BLY3-8株が持つたくさんのT3SS effectorの中から、「ダイズ品種D-51に病原性因子として認識されるT3SS effector」を同定する。また、「このT3SS effectorの作用機構」を明らかにする。
