Outline of Research at the Start	硫酸化ペプチドホルモンとその受容体を介した細胞間情報伝達は、植物の発生や成長に不可欠であるが、シロイヌナズナ以外の植物で情報伝達を行う証拠はない。生活環や形態が異なる植物では、ペプチドオーソログの機能が異なる可能性や、種独自のペプチドが機能する可能性がある。本研究は、コケ植物ゼニゴケも用いて、ゼニゴケ特異的ペプチド3種、既知ペプチドオーソログ2種の機能未知硫酸化ペプチドの活性型構造、受容体同定、下流情報伝達経路の解明を通じて、陸上植物における硫酸化ペプチドホルモンの機能多様性を明らかにし、ペプチドホルモンを介した細胞間コミュニケーションをより包括的に理解することを目的とする。
