Outline of Research at the Start

常緑樹は冬季の長期的な低温に適応するため、光障害を防ぐ特別な分子機構をもつ。この能力は樹木の環境適応を左右する重要な形質である。樹種によって光阻害による保護とELIPとよばれる色素結合タンパク質による保護機構を使い分けていると考えられる。本研究では、北大植物園で生育する35種類の常緑樹や道内各地の常緑樹について光化学系を可能な限り正確に定量し、これらの保護機構の種間分布を明らかにする。
