Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、活性化した神経細胞のリアルタイム標識を可能にするレポーターマウス、三次元組織イメージング技術などの併用により、狂犬病の病態の本質が何であるかを明らかにする。複数の狂犬病ウイルス野外株を用いたマウス感染実験を通じて、脳における神経細胞の感染・活性化状況を網羅的に比較することで病態に普遍的に関与する脳領域を特定し、その機能異常を検討する。
