Outline of Research at the Start	Long non-coding RNA（lncRNA）の定義ではタンパク質をコードしないとされているが、我々はこれまでに、lncRNAに存在する小さなORFから翻訳される新規ポリペプチド群を同定し、それらが重要な機能を持つことを明らかにしてきた。そこで我々は種々の新手法を確立することにより真のlncRNA"と"ペプチドコードRNA"が区別可能となった。真のlncRNAの特徴をいくつか見出したことから、特に非典型的なデキャップ酵素に着目して研究を行う。
