Outline of Research at the Start

真核細胞の分泌経路では、4種類のカーゴ受容体ERGIC-53・VIP36・VIPL・ERGLによって 分泌糖タンパク質(カーゴ)の適切な分泌が管理されており、その破綻は血液性疾患など様々な病気の原因となる。本研究計画では、構造未決定なカーゴ受容体や、カーゴとカーゴ受容体との複合体について、クライオ電子顕微鏡を用いた構造機能解析に取り組み、カーゴ認識の構造基盤や４種類のカーゴ受容体群による連携の仕組みを明らかにすることを目指す。
