Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、接木という新しい研究の切り口で、植物が極限のストレス状態で発揮するストレス応答機構の解明を目指す。植物を接木した際にストレス応答することは、接木部位で活性酸素種が産生されることや、その後の接木部位における細胞の壊死、さらに遺伝子発現が変動することで明らかであり、接木後の傷害、水、栄養、病害といった複合的なストレス状態から正常な状態へと回復するまでの機構について、細胞学的・分子生物学的な研究を行う。
