Outline of Research at the Start	申請者らが発見したゴルジ体を介した分解機構Golgi-membrane-associated degradation (GOMED)は、通常のオートファジーとは異なるタンパク質分解機能である。このGOMEDの生理機能解析を行う過程で、GOMED実行遺伝子ノックアウトマウスが雄性不妊を呈すること、ヒト疾患においても、GOMED関連遺伝子に異常をもつヒト精子形成不全症があることを見出した。本研究ではGOMEDが精子形成のどの過程において機能しているのかを明らかにする。
