Outline of Research at the Start

富士・箱根・伊豆半島から伊豆諸島に至る火山地帯（富士火山帯）には多数の地域固有種が生育し、「フォッサマグナ要素」と呼ばれる。本研究ではこの地域固有種群の種分化機構の解明を目的に、分類群横断的な分子系統解析を行う。代表的な複数のフォッサマグナ要素植物およびその近縁種を対象とし、伊豆半島・伊豆諸島を含む10～20か所の地域集団でサンプリングを行い、各分類群について、ゲノム解析(RADシーケンス法）および葉緑体多型情報を基に種分化過程の解明、島への移住や環境適応の検出、さらに近年注目されているシンガメオン仮説（系統間の交雑による種分化促進）の検証を行う。
