Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、申請者らが世界で初めて見つけた「細胞膜が傷つくことによってできる老化細胞」に着目し、その細胞ができる詳しい仕組みや、なぜ年を取った人間の体に老化細胞がたまってしまうかを理解し、さらにその細胞が人間の体の中でどんな良い機能や悪い機能を持っているかを解明することで、将来的に人間の老化を遅らせたり老化に伴う病気を治療したりする方法を開発することを目指す。
