Outline of Research at the Start

根治不能となったがんは宿主に様々な悪影響をもたらす。そのような悪影響を総じてがん悪液質と呼ぶ。本研究では、がんに起因する宿主の免疫抑制をがん悪液質の症状として捉え、そのメカニズムを明らかにすることを目指す。本研究が進捗し、がんに起因する宿主免疫抑制を解除できるようになれば、「宿主の状態を改善する」という方向からがん免疫療法の効果を高められる可能性がある。
