Outline of Research at the Start

細菌感染症に関連した死亡者数は、虚血性心疾患の次に多く全死亡者の13.6%に相当し、今後の対策として新規抗菌薬やワクチンの開発が求められている。そのような新規の治療・予防法の開発には、病原菌がどのように宿主免疫機構を回避して疾病を起こすのか理解することが重要である。そこで本研究課題では、食中毒菌のサルモネラに感染した宿主内の免疫細胞の遺伝子発現変動を、単一細胞レベルで解読することを目指す。
