Outline of Research at the Start

細胞外マトリクスタンパク質 fibulin2 (FBLN2) は、大腸がん組織の線維芽細胞でスプライシングが変化することを私たちは見出している。このスプライシングバリアントが大腸がんの増殖・転移に果たす役割とスプライシングバリアントが産まれる分子機構を解明することが本研究の目的である。FBLN2は大腸がん細胞ではなく大腸組織の線維芽細胞や血管内皮細胞で発現しており、この遺伝子産物がん細胞の増殖や遊走に影響している可能性を検証し、どのようにがんの進展・転移に貢献するのか、その分子機構を明らかにすると同時に、in vivoにおける選択的スプライシングの制御機構についても検討を行う。
