Outline of Research at the Start

身体機能の加齢変化に関する研究は、数十年前より国内外で積極的に実施されてきた。特に近年は、国際的に高齢化が進展し、本領域の関心度が高まっている。しかし、意外にも個人内での変化を縦断的に捉えた研究報告は少なく、十分な解明がなされているとは言い難い。
本研究では、「身体機能の加齢変化の再考」と題し、①縦断調査より身体機能の加齢変化の特徴や加速／抑制要因の探求を、②追跡調査より有害健康転帰への影響を、それに③クラスター無作為化比較試験（RCT）より身体機能低下抑制効果の検証を行う。これら一連の研究より、既知の情報を新たな研究デザインで再考し、『新たな身体機能低下予防研究』への橋渡しを目指す。
