Outline of Research at the Start

パーキンソン病の病態発症には加齢が深く関連する因子であるとともに遺伝的素因も大きく関与する。次世代シーケンサーなどの技術革新により30種類を超えるパーキンソン病関連遺伝子が見出されてきたが、申請者らがこれまでに解析した家族性パーキンソン病症例のうち3分の2以上が「解析したものの原因までたどり着くことができていない」家系であり、これらは (1) 未知の新規原因遺伝子が存在するか、(2) 原因レアバリアントが見逃されている可能性がある。そこで本研究では原因不明の家族性パーキンソン病の原因を同定しうる網羅的遺伝子解析技術を駆使し新規パーキンソン病原因遺伝子の単離・同定目指す。
