Outline of Research at the Start

青年期発症の統合失調症と遅発性精神病性障害は生物学的に異なる疾患であるか、異なる場合、遅発性精神病性障害は既知の認知症・変性疾患の前駆段階なのか、それとも別の神経病理があるかに関しては、未解明である。
まず、認知機能の低下が目立たず、幻覚や幻聴が中心の患者をスクリーニングし、既知のシヌクレオパチーやタウオパチーの変性疾患は否定的な症例を、タウ・アミロイドPETを実施する。イメージングバイオマーカーを利用して遅発性精神病性障害の一群における病態を解明する。このことにより、適切な診断法の確立、新規治療法の提唱につながり、医療・福祉への波及効果も大きい。
