Outline of Research at the Start	生活習慣病の蔓延や高齢化の進行により、心臓の働きが落ちる心不全患者が急速に増加している。しかし、現在心不全に対する治療法は限られ、心不全患者の増加は生命予後の悪化のみならず、高齢者の生活の質の悪化の大きな原因となっている。そのため、心不全に対する新規の有効な治療薬の開発は極めて必要性が高い。本事業においては、心不全に対する２種の新規治療薬の開発をすすめると同時に、その薬効の評価を行う中で心不全の病態進行に関与する新たな因子の同定を進める。本事業が成功すれば、心不全の病態解明がすすみ、新しい心不全の診断薬・治療薬が開発され、心不全患者の予後および生活の質が改善されると期待される。
