Outline of Research at the Start

心不全は、心臓のポンプ機能が低下することによりもたらされる全身疾患です。ゲノム解析の進歩に伴い、ゲノム遺伝子の変化のためにもともと存在している「心筋不全」に、様々な環境要因や運動などの負荷が加わることが、心不全の原因となることが明らかとなってきました。本研究は、これまでに蓄積したデータベース情報、疾患iPS細胞、心筋病理データをもとに、「心筋不全」の病態解明や、治療法の開発を行うことを目的とします。さらに、ゲノムデータと画像診断を統合した、新しい診断基準の確立と診療体系構築を行うことを目指します。
