Outline of Research at the Start

スキルス胃癌はCAFを伴いながら急速に増殖進展する。我々はCAF制御がスキルス胃癌治療に有効と考え研究を進め、CAF抑制剤の抗CXCL1中和抗体作成に成功し、その抗CXCL1抗体がCAFを抑制することが確認された。しかし、癌が抑制されたマウス群と、抑制されないマウス群が存在したことから、癌促進性CAFと癌抑制性CAFが存在することが示唆された。抗CXCL1中和抗体療法の臨床応用には、抗CXCL1抗体療法効果を事前に予測するコンパニオン診断薬開発の必要性が生じた。本研究はCAF subpopulation分類に基づくコンパニオン診断のもと、スキルス胃癌のCXCL1抗体療法の臨床応用を目指す。
