Outline of Research at the Start

理想的な血管補填物を目指し、生体適合性、抗血栓性、成長能力を兼ね備えた組織工学的手法が注目されている。
我々は、これまで患者の皮下で作製可能な自己結合組織に基づく代用血管を開発し、小児の肺動脈拡大手術における臨床応用にて良好な結果を得た。
本研究では、この技術のさらなる臨床展開と、長期安全性及び成長潜在性の検証を目的とする。さらに、小児の皮下面積の制約も考慮し、親から子への同種移植への応用可能性を探る基礎研究も実施する。
