Outline of Research at the Start

歯周病と全身疾患の関連性を追求する研究は糖尿病を軸として展開された。しかるに糖尿病以外の疾患との関連性については未だエビデンスが明確に確立されたとは言い難い。そこで、日本人（アジア人）型軽度肥満モデルマウスを用い、歯周炎とNASH、腎症、健康寿命との関連性を検証し、歯周炎と全身疾患の間に介在する分子基盤を確立する。
