Outline of Research at the Start

睡眠時ブラキシズム患者では、睡眠中に歯ぎしりが多発するので、顎口腔顔面に様々な問題を引き起こす。閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸症の患者では、そうでない人に比べて睡眠中の歯ぎしりが多く発生する。本研究では、ヒトの睡眠中の呼吸と咀嚼筋活動を解析し、実験動物において閉塞性無呼吸症と類似した環境における咀嚼筋活動の発生様態を解析することによって、閉塞性無呼吸症において歯ぎしりが発生するメカニズムを明らかにする。
