Outline of Research at the Start

To improve patient outcomes at intensive care units (ICUs), evidence-based practice (EBP) will be introduced and established in the field ICUs. This will be completed by (1) educating nurses and introducing a mentoring system to change and maintain nurses' behavior (appropriate patient management) and (2) introducing appropriate equipment. In order for nurses to initiate and maintain behavioral change, the culture of the nursing department organization will be transformed. Furthermore, PDCA cycle to improve the work environment and move toward improving outcomes with a multidisciplinary team.
