Outline of Research at the Start

脳卒中後の機能回復の脳内基盤の一つとして、神経の構造変化があることが知られている。革新的なリハビリテーション介入法の開発のために、回復の基盤となる神経変化を知る必要がある。また脳卒中患者に対する脳イメージングから神経投射の変化が示唆されており、将来的な機能回復を予測するバイオマーカーとしての活用が期待されているが、その統一的な知見は得られていない。本研究課題では「マカクサル脳梗塞モデル」を対象として脳イメージングと組織・解剖学的解析による多角的解析を行い、運動機能回復の基盤となる神経投射変化の全貌を明らかにする。本研究から得られた成果は、機能回復予測指標の確立に関する基礎的な知見となる。
