Outline of Research at the Start	糖に対する嗜好性を文字通り“糖嗜好“と呼ぶ。最新研究において、糖嗜好は味覚よりも腸管のグルコースセンス(gut-feeling)に依存すると示唆される。脳腸相関のkey factorである腸内細菌も糖を好む生物である。腸内細菌は糖から有機酸を合成することで生存・増殖に必要なエネルギーを獲得する。しかし、腸内細菌が糖を利用するためには、宿主の糖摂取が不可欠である。そのため、細菌から宿主に糖摂取を促す作用があると想定される。申請者は、腸内細菌の撹乱が宿主の糖嗜好を変化させることを見出した。そこで、本研究では、宿主の糖嗜好形成に関わる腸内細菌を同定し、糖嗜好形成における腸内細菌の役割を明確にする。
