Outline of Research at the Start

生活習慣病などの加齢性疾患は慢性炎症を伴うことが多い。加齢性の炎症の一因として、老化関連T細胞（SA-T細胞）という、年齢とともに蓄積するT細胞の影響が示されている。しかしながら、SA-T細胞の産生や機能を抑制する予防法や治療法は確立されていない。そこで、本研究は、SA-T細胞の分化や炎症誘導因子産生を抑制する低分子化合物を探索し、SA-T細胞を介した慢性炎症を改善できる薬剤を見出すことを目指している。
