Outline of Research at the Start

近年、宿主-腸内細菌相互作用について精力的に研究が進められており、その鍵を握る腸内細菌代謝物として酪酸が注目されているが、酪酸が標的とするHDACアイソザイムを介した炎症制御メカニズムは明らかでは無い。本研究によりHDACを介した酪酸の作用機序を明らかにすることで、宿主–腸内細菌相互作用に関する分子メカニズムに加え、酪酸による腸炎発症予防機構の解明やHDAC阻害剤を用いた腸炎治療へとつなげていく。
