Outline of Research at the Start

CO2 排出量の大幅な削減が全球規模の喫緊の課題となるなか、国土面積の約66%を森林が占める我が国においては、様々な施策を組み合わせながら、森林のCO2 吸収効果を効率的に発揮させる森林・林業政策の実施が重要である。そこで本研究では、森林・林業政策と森林のCO2 排出量削減効果の関係を記述する地理情報システム（GIS）モデルを構築したうえで、複数政策への最適資金配分を通じて我が国の森林のCO2 削減効果を効率的に発揮させる、包括的な森林・林業政策の提示を目指す。
