Outline of Research at the Start

サブサハラ以南アフリカにおいて大規模な電気敷設の開発事業が開始されて以降、辺境地の主に農牧業に従事する人々にも電気が身近なインフラになった。しかし、開発側の意図するようにはエネルギー転換が進まず、オン／オフグリッドによる電気エネルギーと木質エネルギー（薪炭）を組み合わせる「エネルギーミックス」が各地に生じている。本研究では再生可能エネルギー開発の先進地である東アフリカ３カ国の農牧社会のエネルギーミックスを比較検討し、世帯の生計戦略、ジェンダー、自然資源利用の３点からエネルギー転換の促進と阻害要因を詳細に分析する。
