Outline of Research at the Start

研究代表者は、過去２つの基盤研究(B)においてツーリズムを検討してきた。「メンタルヘルスツーリズムの展開」においては、就労期（壮年層）におけるストレスを低減させる方略としてのメンタルヘルスツーリズム明らかにした。続く、「ツーリズムの心理的効果に関する研究」においては、学習期（若年層）にツーリズムが能力を伸長させることを明らかにし、これを「ポジティブツーリズム」とした。これを受けて、本研究では、退職後のシニア層において、ツーリズムは人生の意義や家族、友人などとの絆を確認する「コンファーミングツーリズム」として機能すると予測し、これを検証するものである。
