Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、心と身体の経験的な相関を説明できなくなるいわゆる「心身問題」が、心の本性を「思考」に置く古代ギリシア以来の伝統的立場に由来するものとみて、それとは異質な、現代哲学で「クオリア」として議論されるような心の一人称的性格からこの問題に新しい光をあてる試みである。本研究はまず（１）心身の相違が心の一人称的性格によって自覚されていることを明らかにし（２）西洋哲学史における心身問題の歴史がこの視点を看過してきたことを跡付け（３）心の一人称的性格と身体の三人称的性格から心身問題を捉え直して両者の関係を再考し、従来の立場が陥っている苦境を克服する視点を探求する。
