Outline of Research at the Start	古代原子論は近世ヨーロッパにおいて、とりわけエピクロスの思想を中心に、ガッサンディを筆頭に復興（受容・修正・活用）を果たしたとされる。しかし、そのプロセスは無償ではなく、キリスト教的観点から修正され、その結果、《キリスト教的エピクロス主義》と呼称しうる新思潮を形成したと考えられる。本研究はこの新思潮について、《人間学》という主題を設定したときに見えてくる特徴を明らかにする。
