Outline of Research at the Start	サハラ以南アフリカ諸国の独立が相次ぐ1960年代以降、アフリカ・キリスト教についての研究は、文化人類学や宗教研究等の諸分野において数多くなされてきた。しかしながら、アフリカ・キリスト教が人々に提供する救済財の実態把握は、特にその都市部の新興中間層と農村の住民の際という観点からは、十分になされていない。本研究は、ケニアのナイロビとモンバサという2つのフィールドの宗教人類学的フィールドワークを基にこの問題を検討することを通じて、現代アフリカ都市におけるモダニティと宗教の関係をめぐる主題群を再編しようとするものである。
