Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、地球環境と生物の相互作用というエコロジーの課題が、近代以降の人間社会を組織化してきた民主主義にいかなる変化をもたらすのかという点について、フランス現代思想を題材として考察する。「気候危機」対策を求める社会運動が若年層を中心に世界的に高まるなど、エコロジーの危機への対応が喫緊の政治的課題であるという認識が広まりつつある。本研究はこのような時代状況を背景としながら、現代フランス思想においてエコロジーと民主主義の関係を論じるエティエンヌ・バリバール、アンドレ・ゴルツ、ブルーノ・ラトゥールの思想を参照することで、エコロジーの問題系がもたらす民主主義概念の変容と拡張を跡付ける。
