Outline of Research at the Start

本研究はインド北東部に暮らすナガのポリフォニー歌唱文化における地域性や民族性を比較考察する音楽民族学研究である。現地調査や研究成果の発信において，現地の人々と研究者との双方向的な対話を重視した「フォーラム型」の研究手法を採用する。
本研究では，ナガの民謡の音楽構造や社会的脈絡を地域・民族別に調査・分析し，歌の機能と協働性について解明する。州政府主導の音楽振興政策や伝統文化の観光資源化が進み，伝統歌唱に対する評価も高まりつつある中で，現在のナガに民謡を伝承することの意味や，その未来の姿について問いかけ，44年前に撮影された彼らの村の写真の上映会を通して，当事者間や研究者との対話の機会を創造する。
