Outline of Research at the Start

事前調査では、20世紀初頭のピアノロールには同一の録音による異なるエディッションが存在すると分かった。本研究では、このような再編集が異なる音楽効果に及ぶ事例、特に編集者がピアノ演奏についての深い理解によって行った変更を分析し、それが再生された音響的効果にどの程度影響を与えるかを検討する。最終的にはピアノロールをピアニストと編集者の共作物として再評価し、音楽の録音史においてピアノロールの再設定を目指す。またピアノロールを収集する世界のアーカイヴやコレクターはこれから録音の種類と日付のみではなく、販売コピーのエディッションにも注意する必要があるという認識を強めたい。
