Outline of Research at the Start	御座楽は琉球王国時代の長きにわたって、王国内の正月行事や元服祝いで奏された一方で、中国への冊封儀礼・江戸城内における御前演奏など、対外的で重要な外交の場でも演じられてきた。本研究は、琉球王国時代の式楽である御座楽を、近年公開された尚家文書および新しく発見できた在外楽器コレクションと在外実践記録から、その音楽の様相を新たに解明することにある。具体的には、ドイツ・グラッシィ楽器博物館所蔵アレッサンドロ・クラウスコレクション内の御座楽関連楽器および三線の楽器調査と、ブラジル・ウチンガにおける山内盛彬指導の御座楽実践記録を対象とする。
