Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は日本中世および中国禅僧の肖像画（頂相）について、将来的な総合調査とアーカイビングを目指すためのプレ事業である。頂相は豊富な銘文（賛）を持つものが多く、制作時期や制作環境を特定できるなど史料的基準性が高く、絵画史や日本史、文学史などにとってきわめて希少かつ重要な情報を多く含んでいる。一方で全国的に未紹介作例が多く、貴重な情報を人文学の諸分野において広く利活用するには至っていない。本研究ではそのアーカイビングについて具体的な筋道をつけるため、既出作例を改めて拾いつつ、アンケート調査等を活用して現存傾向を把握するなど、基礎的な研究モデルを策定するための取り組みを行うことを目指す。
