Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、ヴェネツィアの各修道会に属する聖堂における美術パトロネージの様相を明らかにするものである。とくに15世紀後半から16世紀初頭の祭壇画制作に女子修道院が果たした役割とその宗教的、社会的意義について解明することを目的とする。その際個々の作品のみならず聖堂空間が修道院側の意向や当時の宗教的背景とどのように関連していたのかに焦点を当てる。女子修道院の注文への関与を作品に即し明らかにすることで、画家と協働し場の視覚効果を追求した可能性が予測される。また修道院と芸術家が果たした造形面における役割を解明することを通じ、同時期の美術研究への新たな側面を加えることを目指す。
