Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では近世日本美術史での18世紀、19世紀の都市を中心に活躍した道具商と、収集家や芸術家との関係に焦点を当てる。各時代の都市における主要な収集家と芸術家との関係が確認できるため、美術史的及び文化史的影響を研究する。特に道具商の活動を商業活動と捉え、商業史の史料からも研究を行う。本研究により従来、明らかにされていない道具商の活動と、芸術家の交流、作品への影響を考察することで美術史及び文化史を再構築することにつなげる。
