Outline of Research at the Start	ニューヨーク近代美術館(MoMA)の写真部は、1937年に開催した初の写真展「Photography 1839-1937」以降、歴代の写真部ディレクターによって写真展とそのカタログから成る「写真史」の編纂を繰り返してきた。本研究の目的は、各々の「写真史」がいかなる秩序で編纂され、いかなる変遷を遂げたかを「MoMA写真史」の系譜学として叙述し、考察することである。作品選定と提示方法を方向づけた諸条件を浮かび上がらせることに加えて、写真部門の活動の記録と歴史化を自己再帰的なオートエスノグラフィーとしても分析を試みる。
