Outline of Research at the Start

日本および中国、台湾の優れたパブリック・アートを端緒として、その設立の背景や目的と造形性を分析しそれぞれの国が持つ習俗的背景と造形の関係性を明らかにする。その上で如何に普遍的な『佇まい』を獲得しているかについて造形上の性質を見極める。『佇まい』の成立の分析には慣習的価値【習俗（folkways）】と【習律（mores）】を参照する。パブリック・アートが普遍的造形性を獲得するには習俗と造形性の密接な関係性を考察する必要がある。研究対象は目的性と造形性の関係が明瞭である「記念碑」と「自身が制作したパブリックアート」を対象とする。分析対象全てを「佇まい」の観点から評価・分析をおこなう。
