Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は「観光芸能」を日本各地に共通する地域芸能の一様態として再考し、パフォーマンスの内容や形式、上演の場の環境、上演機会や観客に応じたコンテクストの変化といった諸要素から、地域芸能実践における差異化と類型化のダイナミズムを多角的に明らかにする。各地で観光資源としてショー化された芸能が、地域イメージの形成や発信と結びつきながらいかに再編されてきたのか、地域内外で何を表象してきたのかを併せて考察する。フィールドワークと資料調査を並行し、芸能史とツーリズム研究の双方の視点から、地域・ジャンル横断的に「観光芸能」が持つ機能や特性を解明する。具体的には、郷土芸能と土着化した外来芸能を対象とする。
