Outline of Research at the Start

これまで記述されてきた日本映画史は、実質的には東京や大阪など「大都市」の映画史であり、「地方」の問題は常に傍流にとどまってきた。だが映画の観客史・受容史の観点に立つなら、特権的・例外的な映画体験が得られる大都市圏よりもむしろ、標準的・一般的と言い得る「地方」の映画体験を記述することが必要ではないだろうか。そこで本研究では、鳥取市を中心に鳥取県内全域を調査対象として、同地域における映画の鑑賞形態の変遷と棲み分けに関する通史的研究を行うと共に、収集した文献や提供資料のアーカイブ化およびデータベース構築を行う。
