本研究は、近年アートあるいはアート教育の領域で着目されているケアの視点を実践的・理論的に考察することによって、医療や福祉に限定されない、人間形成にとって根源的なケアのあり方を考察する。また、女子教育や貧民教育における美術教育実践を考察することで、アートとケアの共通性を考察する。アートとケアと教育を接続することによって、それぞれの領域を問い直し、感覚や感情、身体知も含めたホリスティックな教育を構想する。
