Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、映像メディアが地球環境に関する認識・理解・想像にどう寄与してきたのか、そこにどのよう問題点と可能性があるのかを検討する。より具体的には、この課題を、環境人文学、映像・メディア研究、日本の環境史研究の成果を踏まえつつ、次の2点を明らかにすることによって探究する。①1970年代以降の日本における地殻変動の物語化・視聴覚化を『日本沈没』作品群と科学ドキュメンタリーを事例に分析してその特徴を明らかにすること、そして②『日本沈没』作品群を中心にメディアの作品間・プラットフォーム間の関係性を調査・分析し、それを事例にメディア環境の広がりと地球環境に関する想像力との関わりを考察することである。
