Outline of Research at the Start	近年、1960年代から70年代における日本のグラフィックデザインをめぐり、新たな研究が相次ぎ、国内外で関心が高まっている。本研究は、グラフィックデザインを総体的に捉えるために、周縁的に扱われてきた作品や資料を救出し、既存の分野や領域にとらわれない新たな横断的研究を展開する。そしてこの研究方法をもとに、デジタルデータベースによる分析を行い、従来のグラフィックデザイン研究とは異なるアプローチから、グラフィックデザインがなした多様な文化・社会的作用の実態を明らかとする。
