Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、ヨーロッパを中心として発展してきたオペラが、近年国境を超え、中東や東南アジアの歌劇場が活性化し、芸術家においてはペルーや南アフリカ出身の歌手達の台頭等、オペラでのグローバル化と多様性が展開していることに着目し、その要因を導きだそうとするものである。中東、東南アジア等の各地域独自の文化や歴史を背景とするため、各国でのオペラ芸術の発展には異なる手法や要素が存在する。オマーンやアラブ首長国連邦（ドバイ歌劇場）等の、政治体制や政治文化の違い、各国の社会状況や文化政策的な背景、各国におけるオペラ文化、舞台芸術への関心と位置づけついて比較検証、我が国への参照可能性の検討へと研究成果を高めていく。
