Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、冷戦期の米国の核戦略や日米関係のなかで捉えられてきた被爆者調査の歴史を被調査者の観点から捉えなおすことで、被爆者調査とそれとよって作られた科学知識が被爆者にとってどのような意味を持つものであったのかを、被爆者医療との関係を含めて明らかにすることを目的とする。科学知識は不完全であるにも関わらず、社会のなかで特権的な地位を占めてきた。本研究は、被爆者への聞き取り調査と資料調査を行い、これまで「中心」から論じられてきた被爆者調査と医療の歴史を「周縁」から再構成しようとするものである。
